Dr. Tara Rava Zolnikov focuses on aspects of culture in a global health setting. She received a PhD in Applied Anthropology from Columbia University and has training in epidemiology. Her work focuses on culture and its role in shaping health-related practices, beliefs, and behaviors within Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, and the United States. She is the author of the book, The Informal Waste Sector: A Guide to Rooting Out Poverty, exploring garbage work around the world and its relationship to poverty.
