About Bushra Hassan

Dr. Hassan earned her PhD in Social and Applied Psychology from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, as a recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship. Over the past twelve years, she have gained extensive experience in teaching and research within the field of Psychology, including seven years at two esteemed universities in Pakistan and four years at the University of Sussex.

Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Hassan conducted post-doctoral research with the UNESCO Chair in ICT4D at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her academic contributions include 45 publications in reputed journals. Additionally, she served as a lead consultant for distinguished organizations such as UNICEF, the Jinnah Centre of Excellence and Leadership, Pakistan, and the Inter Islamic Network on Information Technologies (INIT).

Most recently, she has had the privilege of advising the Minister of Human Rights (Pakistan) on human rights and child protection issues. My consultancy and research portfolio spans various interdisciplinary areas, including Social and Psychological Development, Information Communication and Technologies for Development (ICT4D), Human Resource Development and Training, Human Rights and Child Protection, Refugees, Gender Studies, Inclusive Education, and the empowerment of women and individuals with disabilities.
